قضت محكمة النقض، اليوم الاثنين، برفض طعن المتهمين بقضية المعروفة إعلاميًا بـ«أحداث مسجد الفتح»، وتأييد الحكم الصادر من محكمة الجنايات بحق 215 متهمًا بالسجن المؤبد والمشدد. وكانت محكمة الجنايات قد قضت في وقت سابق بالسجن المؤبد حضوريا على 22 متهمًا من بينهم صلاح سلطان، وعبد الرحمن البر، وغيابيا على 21 آخرين، منهم أحمد المغير، وسعد عمارة ، وعبدالرحمن عز. كما قضت المحكمة بالسجن المشدد 15 سنة حضوريا على 17 متهما، وبالسجن المشدد 10 سنوات حضوريا على 54 متهما وغيابيا على 13 متهما، وبالسجن 10 سنوات غيابيا على 88 آخرين.

The Court of Cassation on Monday rejected the appeal of the defendants in a case known to the media as "the events of the Fath Mosque" and supported the verdict of the Criminal Court against 215 defendants sentenced to life imprisonment and aggravated. The Criminal Court had previously sentenced to life imprisonment in front of 22 defendants, including Salah Sultan, Abdul Rahman al-Barr, and the absence of 21 others, including Ahmed Mughair, Saad Amara, Abdul Rahman Azz. The court also sentenced 15 years in prison to 17 defendants, 10 years in prison, 54 defendants and absentees for 13 accused, and 10 others in absentia for 88 years.

Yargıtay Pazartesi günü, sanıkların medyaya "Fathî Camii olayları" olarak bilinen bir davadaki temyiz başvurusunu reddetti ve Ceza Mahkemesi'nin ömür boyu hapis cezasına çarptırılan ve ağırlaştırılan 215 sanık aleyhindeki kararını destekledi. Asliye Ceza Mahkemesi, daha önce Salah Sultan, Abdul Rahman el-Barr dahil olmak üzere 22 sanık önünde ve Ahmed Mughair, Saad Amara, Abdul Rahman Azz dahil 21 kişinin yokluğunda ömür boyu hapis cezasına çarptırılmıştı. Mahkeme ayrıca 15 yıl hapis, 17 sanık, 10 yıl hapis, 13 sanık için 54 sanık ve tutuklu, 88 yıl boyunca devamsız olmak üzere 10 kişiyi mahkum etti.
