رداً علي هجوم مسلحين علي القوات المسلحة ب"كمين زلزال" أمس الاول ، قامت قوات الشرطة بتصفية 17 مواطناً ، لم تعلن اسم أو بيانات أي منهم ، ما يرجح أنهم من المختفين قسرياً، وجاء البيان علي النحو التالي:
إستمراراً لجهود وزارة الداخلية المبذولة بمجال تتبع وملاحقة العناصر الإرهابية المتورطة فى تنفيذ العمليات العدائية والتى تستهدف القوات المسلحة والشرطة والنيل من مقدرات البلاد .
فقد توافرت معلومات لقطاع الأمن الوطنى حول إختباء مجموعة من العناصر الإرهابية بأحد الأحواش الكائنة بمنطقة العبيدات/ثالث العريش بشمال سيناء ، وإتخاذها وكراً لهم ومرتكزاً للإنطلاق لتنفيذ عملياتهم العدائية ، حيث تم إستهداف منطقة إختبائهم وتبادل إطلاق النيران ، مما أسفر عن مصرع ( عدد 11 عنصر ) وعثر بحوزتهم على (6 بندقية آلية –2 بندقية خرطوش – 3 عبوة متفجرة ) بينما تمكن البعض الأخر من الهروب داخل أحد المنازل المهجورة الكائنة بمنطقة الحوص/أول العريش ، وقد تم تتبعهم وحصارهم والتعامل معهم ، مما أسفر عن مصرع عدد ( 6 ) أخرين ، وعثر بحوزتهم على ( 4 بندقية آلية – 2 حزام ناسف ) .
تم تقنين الإجراءات وتوالى نيابة أمن الدولة العليا التحقيق .
